Biography
I grew up in the Midwest, but followed a publishing career East. After working for several major publishing company, I started my own company, Focus. I and my colleagues at Focus publish a wide range of books in the humanities, arts and languages, including titles from Shakespeare, Greek theater, the Dramatist Guild Resource Manual, and the best guide to English available to the intelligent contemporary reader, Jack Lynch's "The English Language, A User's Guide." I have published a novella and stories which have appeared in Shenandoah, New Laurel Review, the Kansas Review and other places, but in the last few interests are in theater and I have written or co-written with my partner, Leslie Powell, plays that have been produced in Arizona, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and New York City. This past summer I attended the Playwrighting Intensive at the Kennedy Center (D.C.) and I will attend the Great Plains Theatre Conference in the summer of 2008.

 North Shore Readers' Collaborative Theater

The Reader's Collaborative Theater is the joint venture of Ron Pullins, Leslie Powell and Marc Clopton. We are devoted to the advanced development of plays and theater on the North Shore from Boston, Lowell, Durham, Portsmouth, York, and Newburyport. We are currently sponsoring a Saturday Morning series of full plays in the Readers' Theater format, all to take place once a month at Marc Clopton's Actor's Studio at the Tannery in Newburyport. The readings will take place on the second Saturday (after the first Sunday) of each month, with the first to be held September 15 at 10:00. The play will be a reading of ENEMIES OF THE STATE by Ron Pullins. A $7.00 donation is suggested. There will be a talk back following the play. For more information on the Collaborative, go  here.

Enemies of the State, 2007
The greatest punishments are senseless, and random, and secret. But they shape the lives of those on whom they have been inflected, as well as on those who are near to them. And so the secrets emerged on one perfect weekend in a lovely house that sits on the slope of a mountain in Colorado. Two couples, anxious for the conversations they would kill for, sort through the puzzles of things that have gone wrong and the hidden wounds which have shaped them.
