The Reader's Theatre Collaborative is the joint venture of
Ron Pullins, Leslie Powell and Marc Clopton. We are devoted to the
advanced development of plays and theater on Boston's North Shore. We
currently sponsoring a Saturday Morning series of plays in the
Readers' Theater format, all of which take place once a month at Marc
Clopton's Actor's Studio at the Tannery in Newburyport on the second Saturday (after the first Sunday) of each
month. Audience feedback is a vital part of the project, so each play has a talk back following each play.
All productions are at the Actor's Studio at the Tannery in Newburyport. Saturdays 10:00 AM

Submissions
The Reader's Theater Collaborative in Newburyport is open for submissions for the 2009-2010 season.
We hold Reader's Theater once a month -- usually the second Saturday -- at the Actor's Studio in Newburyport at 10:00 in the morning. See
http://www.ronpullins.com/TheaterCollaborative.htm
We request a small donation for audience members. We present plays in the reader's format on the stage at the Actor's Studio and we host talkback after every production based on the playwrights questions.
Reader's Theatre is designed as an integral step in new play development. The season will run from September, 2009, through June, 2010.
Interested playwrights should submit ONLY 10 pages of the play in standard play format and a synopsis that runs no more than 300 words. We are looking for plays that have undergone some basic development, and thus the submission should include the history of this play and itself development, readings, etc., and a statement from the playwright on future development and what part the Reader's Theater might play. The plays should be sent to Ron Pullins, PO Box 369, Newburyport MA 01950, or it can be submitted by email to pullins@pullins.com with READERS THEATRE SUBMISSION in the subject line. The submission should include the author's name, contact information, including email, a short bio of theatrical productions. If we are interested in considering the play further, we will contact the playwright.
We will take submissions beginning June 1 through August 10..
